Marantz CDR-510 vs. PMD340: Similar Sonic and Build Quality?

Pro studio recording equipment and music production/industry.

I'm wondering if these are similar machines in their sonics and build. Both are from Marantz' pro line of electronics. How do they compare to each other and how do they compare to their home electronics line? I will be using this at home in non-professional applications. The CDR510 is a CD recorder and the PMD340 is a straight CD player, the latter is touted as having a heavy-duty transport.
