and that being the case I'd opt for the 140, or a 130, or an EV DL15X for that matter. The higher Fs of these compared to a 145 will give a better midrange. Whatever you go with there is a tuning proceedure, similar to the one I use on my DR horns. Mount the woofer and leave the back/access panel off the box and do an impedance sweep; the lower peak, somewhere around 30-40 Hz, is the box Fs(h). Seal the box up and do another sweep; perfect tuning will put an impedance trough at the Fs(h)frequency. Adjust the port size/duct length to get it right. Again, not familiar with the design, so don't know the port configuration.As to size, this JBL is a pussy. In 1971 we were hauling around a 30 cubic foot expanded Jensen Imperial design loaded with three fifteens-and that was for electric bass. For PA we used A5 variants. Four of them. Haven't been able to walk fully upright ever since.
