I had a similar situation at my church. I got around the problem by suspending an ORTF pair of small condensers from the ceiling. I used two wires running off at angles to each side with very thin mic cable. It does a very good job of picking up the choir and nobody even knows its there. Some people comment "where are the mics" I then point up and show them, they invariably say did you just put them up last week? No they have been there for 10 years!John S.
