I have a Behringer 8024, which is similar, and am very satisfied with it. The 1024 has a few pro features that hi-fi/HT doesn't have use for, though the built in RTA capability would be quite useful if you don't aleady have that ability. My only quibble is the two-space chassis. My 8024 is also two space, and what's inside could easily be packaged in a single space box.I'd expect the Alesis to have a bit more transparancy, but that could be splitting hairs, as the Behringer is still going to be far cleaner than a pure analog EQ. There's no question that for $199 the 1024s capabilities are rather amazing.
