The cassette is obsolete technology, and the cheapest available modern digital versions of same, from Fostex or Roland or others, has far better fidelity than even the most expensive cassette decks ever made. In absolute terms a 4 track cassette deck is at best worth no more than fifty bucks, and only as a temporary tool to use until you can afford a few hundred for a digital deck. If it were me I'd save up for something worth the having.
