Hi,
I am setting myself up for a good home studio.
Here is my current gear :
Apple G4
2 x RME 1 in 1 out SPDIF interface
Emagic MT4 Midi interface
Emagic Logic Audio
EMU Proteus 2000
Fatar Keyboard

I am primarly missing AD onverters and preamps. I am thinking of purchasing DBX preamp and converter (376 or 386), which seem interesting, but I am wondering, in the case of the mono unit which features compressor and EQ, as well as digital out, is it possible to use two of these units on one SPDIF in, as they only use half of its capabilmiity, and I do not want to use both cards for this (the SPDIF out of the Proteus uses the other input)
Maybe some of you know of other similar products, in the >1000USD pricerange, which have analog compression, preamp, and AtoD converter.
I will be recording anything from my upright to vocals etc...
