DPS16 with ProTools

Does anybody have experience with using Akai DAWs with PT? I'm thinking of buying a computer for a dedicated PT setup, but already have a DPS16, and would like them to play nice (no fighting;) I think it would make a nice combo of portability and power if it works out. Any comments, even on similar setups?
