You may like them. Ampeg made a similar design way back then loaded with two 15" Altecs and it sounded nice. As to the rolloff of folded horns, while many folded horns rolloff it is the fault of the particular design being used, not because they are folded horns. I've designed and built a line of folded horns that have the same frequency response as direct radiators- with 10dB additional sensitivity. You can't be positive of what a particular box will sound like, or for that matter if you care for what it sounds like, until you play through it. I'd audition the Sunn and then decide.
