Re: Crossover hum

The hum is most likely from a ground loop- better circuitry isolates the signal from the power ground to control this. Go to Rat Shack and get a hum eliminator, a car stereo device, which uses transformers to isolate the signal path from the A/C ground, about 15 bucks. Higher grade component versions of the same thing are also available for more $ if the Rat Shack rig isn't up to the standards of your system.
