It is supposed to if you have the digital I/O option. I have an ultracurve, but have only recently ordered the AES/EBU option.The manual says that with the digital option, the input is purely digital, but the output is present at both digital and analog outputs.
So, in theory you could connect your transport into (with AES/EBU) the ultracurve and use the built-in DAC of the ultracurve if need be.Good Luck!
