Hi !!!
That will be my first ever vintage volume pots. The Daven type
LAQ-130-G ,30 steps by 1.5dB, ladder,600/600 ohm.
The guy who sell them don't know they are stereo or mono.
He just checked every step by DMM and say they are OK.
Price is not bad so I take a pair for try.
Can anyone tell me a little more about them ?
They are mono or stereo ?
I plan to instal them across 600 ohm primary of my input trafo
and shunt them to ground .
That avoid me any resistor on signal path plus perfect 1.5dB
control.I have try regular 50K pot there but even on first step
50K pass too much signal it's too loud.
Other but little a crazy option is if this Daven are stereo how about
put two section in series for 1200 ohm total but still 30 / 1.5dB steps.
In this way I be able to instal them on my WOT preamp output
trafo secondary which is 1000 ohm.
Across this secondary shunt to ground. Please tell me little more about this Davens and make your
opinion about connection ideas. Thanks !!! Joe
