I would look for a Studer A80 Mark IV or Studer 807 or 827. Recording studios are trying to unload their analog gear and Studer still backs their product well. Plus there are the Studer pages on the web to aid you in finding spare parts. It is a big machine and takes up a lot of space. The only problem is the avaliability of tape which I worry some of the majors will withdraw their offerings. I/4" might be the last to go. BasF is the best tape now made. Cordially, James
