I use this board in a Church for both live P.A. and recording. I can say from experience this is a much better studio board than a live board. It is a very flexible, clean, transparent board. The only real coloring of sound I found on the board was through the monitors. The recordings you get will be top notch. Be warned when bussing channels together. You can experience bleed through. Make sure you have the channels needed for recording selected and you will be very pleased with the results.
