I also posted this in the general forum, sorry if it's redundant.I just need to know what the voltage is of a line-level audio signal, for instance the audio out from a CD player, computer, or other such source. Also anything about the general electrical nature of an audio signal and what it "is" electrically speaking... my guess is that silence is 0 volts, and the passing of a waveform out of the audio source equates to the voltage oscillating up and down at the corresponding frequency. Or something like that. Does anybody know?
