Hi people !
The better thing, is TRY-ERROR law. Belive me,but..... nothing compares with a GOOD audio MONITORS (near or far field). And when I said GOOD monitors, I mean exactly this. Not GOOD SOUNDING Speakers. The point is that a good sounding speaker it would be lovely,.... but false. And of course there is not a single solution. It depends on any single studio, taking in mind any single pice of lighting, outboard geard, carpet, wooden parts, seats, and any other thing surrounding the listening area. Think by yourself how many professional recording studios, (really good sounding), exist around the world, and how different are the solutions they have took for their convenience.
And the last words, by my experience, I preffer the tweeters "in", so this way, I have to pan more agressively at the studio, and when I'm at home and listen to some of my records I can enjoy a lot more cause I have widened the listening area. This can be done carefully, and sepecially when doing a surround mixing.
Enjoy !!
