preamps in EZbus

Can anyone attest to the quality of the pre's in the Event EZbus? If they are crap, I will probably buy the thing anyway (I mainly need it as a digital mixer, so that I can record 8 tracks simultaneously instead of just two) and then pick up a few nice s.s. outboard pre's (...$sigh$...). However, it would be cool if the ones in the EZbus were decent quality. A while ago, I had looked into the Event EMP-1 and I've heard that it's a pretty nice preamp (including from a post in this forum). So, did Event do the right thing and put similarly competent pre's in the EZbus, or did they skimp?
