I'm listening to it right now pairing with Krell EVO 202 pre amp while driving the Thiel CS 3.6 speakers. Compared to Krell EVO 402 power amp, surprisingly it has a nice top end with clear and neutral midrange. Although, it could use a little bloom on the midbass, but the bottom end is just as tight but sounding a little hard. But what do you expect, the Krell cost 8 time as much.
What I liked about the Crown K2 power amp is the BCA circuitry a power supply management circuit design requiring no cooling fans even when the amp runs at peak power. The K Series has energy efficient (green circuits) features that are not offered in other models, when the amplifier is in energy saving idle mode it uses as little as 12watts of ac power, another example of Crown's research and development advancements.
