compression driver and horn set "pairing"

I just got 4 2446H compression drivers and 4 horns - 2 jbl 2382a, and 2 clone 2382. What would be the ADVANTAGE to put a two driver adapter on the authentic jbl horns over using 4 seperate complete "sets" of drivers and horns.
Are there any DISADVANTAGES to using the 2 driver adaptor? For example; compression induced distortion, beaming, less db/watt vs. seperate horns, etc.
