Is your primary NVMe on an internal slot inside your PC? I think my speed "bottleneck" is from the USB-C/USB 4.0 interface. The NVMe storage itself is capable of 7300 MB/s. Says so on the box ;-)
What is the capacity of your T7? The interesting thing about solid-state storage is the speed increases as capacity goes up once you get beyond a certain hump in capacity. For example, the 512GB and 1TB Mac Mini storage is noticeably faster than the 256GB found in their entry models. I don't recall why but it might have to do with the number of banks that the controller can read/write to in parallel - or something like that. I believe this holds true for SSD in general, not just in the Mac.
