The Sonore microRendu hardware is ARM based with their own flavor of Linux and a handful of user loadable Apps targeting the audiophile market.
My general purpose Raspberry Pi boards are also ARM based running lightweight DietPi Linux. Mine are stripped down with no desktop and no video capability. They require SSH login over the network to configure.
The Sonore hardware is technically the better solution vs the general purpose Raspberry Pi but in the real world (at my home anyway) there is no difference in sound quality between these two when used as network streamers outputting to the same USB DAC.
