Abe,
Welcome to the EverSOLO family, as this is what I personally see as my next and last investment in my system..., regardless if some have claimed to find the DMP-A6 bright, I hear it as detailed as compared to the Aurender X100L Music Server | Denafrips Pontus ll DAC it replaced, as heard on its own without being attached to an external DAC, I came away impressed with its sense of better top end resolution | extension | weight, as well as finding the bass impact much more responsive then said mentioned other tandem, and don't get me started on how it sounded more accurate | offered scaling in a manner of which my previous combination barely extended beyond the outermost edges of my speakers.
I did of course add the LHY mod for the power supply, as well as replacing the IEC input and sole RCA input jacks respectively with Monosaudio IB72 Rhodium | Viborg RC102 Copper, yet in my case what I found to be a major improvement fidelity wise, was placing a Grey Knight GK-DY-DYX03 OCC Silver Plated Copper Power Cord with the blades changed out for a Viborg VM503S Silver Plated Copper AC Male | Oyaide C-004 Beryllium Palladium Plated Copper IEC Female Connectors, at which point I knew within 13 bars I had found my way home, as well as having discover " Mi-Sound " of which I personally know I'd live quite happily with for the rest of my life.
And have as a result decided to sign off of every audio forum of which I've been a member of since 2003, as I personally feel there simply isn't anything else for me to learn, yet as stated on several of these forum, "as added here " peek in from time to time, to only chime in where I feel as if I've something to say, which is becoming harder and harder to do of late, as it takes me away from just being absorbed during extended listening sessions.
Yet I felt compelled to add my congratulations on seeing as how you've come around to the dark side, and chose to pursue an EverSOLO product for yourself...-, well done.
