The processor is slow on the music machine. That's what is my hypothesis.
It is a Intel N3550.
I use that instead of a RPi. I can upsample to PCM768 no problem.
I'm guessing an i9 would be good.
With a 12 core i3 it also hiccups.
I have to wonder when the machines can catch up to us. Upsampling to DSD512 shouldn't be so difficult. But it is.
