The 1.66 may use less power and produce slightly less heat, allowing the fans to run less. If the only purpose is audio playback, then either processor is overkill, so pick the one with lower power consumption and heat output. Being cheaper is just a nice bonus. (Of course if you want to use the Mac Mini for other things as well, then you'll have to take that into consideration.)(Even aside from all sound quality concerns, I have to say their pricing on the 1.83 Ghz Mac Mini is kind of a ripoff right now. $200 for a processor that costs $20 more, and a slightly bigger hard drive? Really.)
