Do note that any upsampling is merly filtering. Whereas the memory device is not doing any processing of the samples (I think).

If you want try this... enable the Equalizer in iTunes and fool with it a little. It's pretty much the same idea as using the Computer to do upsampling or filtering. All of it is different not neccesarily better just different.

Maybe what we need for you to do Steve is dump the rest of the system for some SET's and Friendly Speakers ;)
