Hey Liran,You may get an answer here, but few inmates are doing what you are planning to do...using the sub out of a sound card directly to a sub.
Many are not using sound cards, and those that do, probably don't have 5.1 or 7.1 card with a sub out, or even do home theater for that matter.
I don't see why it wouldn't work in 2 channel, but since I have never tried it, I won't say i know for sure.
If you are using foobar, I you could get the crossover plug in, and use it 2-way sending just the bass to your front left and right out puts and connect the 2 outs to your sub if it has rca inputs. The crossover would send the mids and highs out the surround outputs and you could connect those outs to whatever drives your main speakers. This would allow your main speakers to not have to play the bass that the sub is playing...but this is a more complcated way to do it.
YOu may get more responses if you post at www.hydrogenaudio.org as the members there seem to be more into mainstream PC audio (mp3s, 5.1 cards, gaming applications, etc.) than those on this board.
