The problem of missing the beginnings of tracks as the stream starts up and the DAC gets going WAS an issue with one iteration of iTunes or AE software (not sure which change brought about the problem). However I can confidently say that it is NOT an issue now, boy did it bug me when it was.I use a Trivista DAC and my library is stored as lossless. I can control the computer and iTunes remotely using the wonderful Salling Clicker software running on on my mobile phone and connected via either wi fi or bluetooth to the mac.
