I've tried both 16 bit and 24 bit output from the control panel. I decided to leave it at 16 bit and use the SRC in foobar to upsample the signal to 24bit/48khz.
I also set the unit to normal speed most of the time. The highspeed setting lowers the latency even more.There's also a dither feature in the control panel. I didn't notice much of a difference using this feature.
This thing sounds good with any of the settings in my system. The differences were small in comparison to changing the driver from ASIO4all to the USB-Audio ASIO.
