Your post is very timely as I am ripping 2000 of my CD's over the holidays to a new Glyph hard drive (with another for backup). I have a PC and a Mac but have been using the MAC and Glyph as my transport, which ultimately connects to a DAC and to the rest of my stereo system. Is using EAC first better than just ripping in Itunes to Apple Lossless with the "Use Error Correction" box checked? I thought the "Use Error Correction" setting in iTunes was supposed to read a a bit perfect copy. Am relatively new at this so I would very much appreciate any comments - Thanks.
