For the love of FLAC

71.251.16.184

Ahh yes. I was really drunk one night and I had this feeling of well being. I put on some FLAC files through my squeezebox and was in bliss.

Then I thought, I have been using FLAC for about 4 years now, so I decided to donate money to the non-profit responsible for FLAC xiph.org I donated only $50 but let them know how much I appreciated their hard work on the FLAC/Ogg projects. To me it was well worth it to keep that warm feeling long lasting.

Has anyone done the same? I am by no means a billionaire but it is a good jesture and a tax write off :)

Also I have now noticed that I can easily transcode FLAC to Ogg with Oggenc and it keeps the tags. This is great for my portable Ogg capable player. Talk about innovation.
