Ok I figured some stuff out on my own(I think)1st off. The cd's are in fact being compressed in .flac. I was looking at the EAC window where the songs are located while ripping. In the column it has 'size' as in how many Megs each song is on the cd. Next to this column is another column that says comp.size. Under this column EAC was showing sizes of 2-5MBs. I don't know why. By checking the properties of a compressed song I found out it is in fact only about 30-50% of the original size. I'm so smart!
So now I have questions regarding ripping and foobar. Right now I just have my songs going to a folder I aptly named 'ripped music'. Since this is just a folder the songs are just splattered all over with just the name of the song showing. Is there a better way/place to rip them to?
Is it also possible to create a sort of library and different types of playlists in foobar and have the songs STAY there without being deleted? I created a playlist called 'library' and loaded all my songs from my 'ripped music' folder. Problem is tho if I click on a song outsite of foobar it will play the song I click on and magically erase every single song I loaded into foobar. Very annoying.
Sorry for some of the double posting of questions, just been a long day dealing with this.
If any of you haven't figured it out yet, I'm sort of a noob :)
Thanks yet again,
ron
