m,You are right. Cues do allow you to advance to individual songs while maintaining the gaps on the CD...provided that you set EAC up correctly to do so.
Also, they are a super easy way to populate a playlist in Foobar.
Just drop in a cue sheet and it puts in the 10 songs on that disk...automatically.
I have no idea how a squeeze box would work with them.
