Can you compare the ASIO4All with the ASIO built into the player?Under settings, you will find the Asio option at the bottom right of the first page (crossover).
Just select it, and then you have real asio. If you can turn off Asio4all, I think you will hear an even bigger improvement.
Should be easy to restore if you don't like the results.
