A week or so back I was sitting at my MAC OSX when I heard sort of a static sizzling noise in the speakers (at least I THINK that’s where it came from). So, I replaced them. I figured everything was A-OK because I could listen to CDs and audio tracks in iTUNES with no trouble. I can also hear live broadcast with decent sound. Whenever I listen to sound I’ve recorded off a radio stream, however, or anything in QuickTime I get a hollow metallic background hum and static crackles. This has never happened before. What happened? Is there a way to fix this? It’s maddening!
