Although the wireless should easily handle the bandwidth, you will have to procede by trial and error and elimination.A couple of things to try:
1) eliminate the wireless by trying a direct cable connection (crossover cable if you don't have a hub).
2) monitor the processor in task maanger to see if anything is going "busy" when the glitch happens.
3) disable all other activities by shutting them down in task manager
You may need some help in knowing what can be stopped but things likeVirus checking, disk indexing, power saving can all be suspect.
