Cap swapping in the DDDAC1543

I’ve been using the DDDAC1543 MK2 for several weeks now. Last week I decided to try .47uF Teflon Sonicap Platinum caps in the output stage hoping I would get better tonal balance than what I was getting with 1uF Multicap RTXs. I did get a nice improvement in tonal balance, with the highs becoming well extended, but I was pleasantly surprised at how sweet the sound became. The sweetness I’m now hearing seems rather incredible given I’m using a SS amp. Vocals on poor recording are worse, but this is to be expected whenever the highs get enhanced. Compared to swapping power cords and ICs, I do believe there’s more to gain by exploring caps!

I should note that I also swapped out the stock 100k resistors in the output stage and replaced them with PRP resistors from Percy Audio at the same time I did the caps, so some of the change in sound could possible have been due to this. System synergy may also be an important factor, with the upgraded McCormack DNA amp I'm using being known to be capable of producing a fair amount of sweetness.
