Wow, this must be an awesome deal. I used ART DI/O standalone DAC/ADC and it was superb when slightly modded. There was a huge movement for modding and abundance of information on the net how to do it. Check yahoo groups under ART DI/0.With USB, I believe those guys have done it right. Since it uses optical out, I suggest purchase of glass toslink cable from ebay or audiogon.
The biggest modding improvement of ART DI/0 was replacement of stock power supply with beefier one. I guess stock power supply should be replaced for ART USB as well.
ART might be replacement for ESI Waveterminal because it also uses AKM
DAC chips.
