EL509s in the Magnoval version are getting hard to find and very expensive. The MVSZAO ones, for example (see link), but I wouldn't buy ANYTHING from Russia! They're all crooks.
The JJs will work, but the amps would have to be re-wired, with new octal sockets installed. I did this to mine, and it's the best thing since sliced bread. Not cheap, though.
