I had the same question - I've got a pair of Fostex 206e and thought of the SE otl. The problem is that the SE otl has only about 8db of voltage gain, so you'd need an active preamp (the GG has 12db gain). For those speakers I would favour the SE otl over the t16, provided you've got an active pre.
