I had a REL and used it with a solid-state stereo amp and my Magnepan MG-20s. While the
sub added power and weight, the presence of the cable detracted from the bass clarity, even
with the REL amp switched off. I sold it and have been happy without it.I never tried it with my MA-1s. Each output terminal in these amps is connected to ground
through a resistor of much lower value than the REL's input impedance, so the REL won't
unbalance anything. However, I'm not sure what will happen when the two monoblocks are
connected together. Probably nothing. My main concern would be for bass clarity.
