Hi againHave just had the MP3 B+ mod with the VB408 regulators done. At the same time the kathode resistors vere paralelled with resistors of same value to better accomodate the JJ ECC99.
What an improvement ! Was taken way into goosebump territory. Improved clarity - dynamics and resolution. But impossible to say how much paralelling the kathode resister account for in this big step ahead...
Anyway, there is no doubt in my mind that both the E80CC and ECC99 is a better choise than most of the availble ECC82/12AU7.rgds Jan
