Hi Brian,The Atma-Sphere amps do not give their best sound quality into low-impedance loads. Even though the Dunlavys are high efficiency, their low impedance will compromise the sound. Note that it does not harm the amps to run them with lower load impedance, it just results in a sense of strain, and possibly diminished damping (depends on speaker design).
The ZERO autotransformer (see link from our home page) is the cure for this problem. I use them with the mid/tweeter sections of my Magnepan MG-20s (also 4 ohms), and I am not able to detect any sonic penalty. I expect you would be quite happy with ZEROs and MA-1s driving your Dunlavys.
