The list of speakers for use with the S30 is quite long. Currently I'm using it with Coincident total victory's which is a wonderful synergestic combo. Prior to that, I was using the Alon lotus SE, nice, but not the equal of the victory's.Almost any speaker designed for SET use will work well with the S30,i.e, >6 ohms, <90db efficiency. The use of an autoformer, such as the "Zero" if your to use lower impedence speakers. The S30, unlike the MA1, is quite sensitive to the speakers impedence with power decreasing to 15watts/ch at 4ohms.
I have heard Sound Lab speakers but never with AS. While I think that the TV's are "electrostatic-like" the difference between electrostatic and electrostatic-like can be quite significant. The quesion you raise is a real one as you begin to partner the S30 with expensive speakers. Ultimately, it becomes a decision based on personal taste, space restaints,WAF, etc.
