The 120 VAC to 240 VAC conversion itself is not a source of hum and I believe it may be a coincidence of the conversion. Can you tell us more about the symptoms of your hum? Is it in the phono stage only? Is it common to the line-stage? Are the offset voltage LEDs behaving properly? Have you traded the tubes between channels to see if the problem switches to the other channel? Have you measured the DC voltage, on the two XLR output connectors, betweens pins 2 & 3?
