Richard,You will probably hear no difference with that LP either. If you will pardon the crude wording, if a system has an overall inverted absolute phase, BOTH of your speakers will 'suck' when they should 'blow' i.e. the excursion is opposite that which it should be. The effects of such a condition are subtle because the speakers are still in relative phase (moving the same direction simultaneously). I am reasonably sure that I hear a difference between the 2 polarity switch positions on any given recording, but....do all recordings show the same absolute phase? I think not.
Your test records are probably designed to test 'speaker phase'. I have never understood why such a test is necessary, as an out-of-phase condition seems grossly obvious, characterized by wandering, unfocussed, fuzzy images.
Best bet is simply to flip back and forth - or better yet, have someone do it for you so that your short term aural memory is not strained (mine is!).
