My favorite 12AT7 is the British Military CV4024. My favorite 12AU7, also the British Military, is the CV4003 (M8136).Depending on which version M-50 you own, you may be able to perform significant driver stage upgrades. 12AT7s and 12AU7s will no longer be required. The circuit board version is a bit more difficult to modify than the non-circuit board version. Please click here to see an example of an M-50, circuit board version, upgraded to MK II status.
