MP-3 tubes

Recently bought an MP-3 to go with my MA1.5s. Has stock Phillips tubes. Thinking of up-grading. Checked out V.T.S., but I don't know what to get. Have always been a pro audio guy, don't wish to get into serious tweaking of Atma-sphere products (I like Ralph's designs as they are), but would consider tube relacement. While the MP-3 goes very low, I would welcome a tube that gave the bottom a bit more authority, while keeping the open high end. Also, has anyone tried the brass damper rings? Are they 10 times better than the rubber ones, as the price suggests? Thanx for any insights!-Jef
