"The Last Wave": This was the first Peter Weir film to be distributed in America. Five Australian Aborigines are accused of murder. A Good White Man steps in to help, and is drawn further and further into the Dreamworld. Interesting cinematography, color palette, and soundtrack.
Oh... and did I mention that the sky is falling?

"Following": Written, directed, and shot on digital video by Christopher Nolan. (He subsequently did "MEMENTO"- a must see if you haven't already). Out of work, bored, have writer's block? Consider what happens to our Young Man. Voyuerism, fetishism, A Girl, deceit, blackmail. In glorious black (mostly)and white. Eerie soundtrack. Ooh, baby...
