I am planning to build a single driver full range speaker using a Fostex FE164. I will be using a pair of REL Strata III subs which have a max crossover frequency of 95 Hz. Since the Fostex driver has a sensitivity of 92 dB/1w/1m, I would like to use 4 output tubes in my M60s instead of 8 per chassis.I am modeling the response of this driver in various enclosures, and it would help to know the output impedance of the M60 Mk. 2 with four 6AS7G output tubes instead of eight. From earlier posts, it appears that the normal output impedance value is 3.5 ohms.
My question is: Would this value rise to >3.5 ohms or fall to <3.5 ohms with 4 output tubes instead of 8?
Many thanks!
