Simpler is better.My inrush limiters are power resistors in series with the transformers' primary windings shunted by relays that close once the filter capacitors are about 70% charged. Solid-state limiters will inject some switching noise, and negative temperature coefficient devices will increase the apparent series resistance of the mains supply. This is an issue in bi-amped applications like mine. Increasing the filter capacitors will increase the inrush energy the diodes have to supply, and make the stress on them worse.
