What Atma-sphere product requires 32 grid-stoppers? Are you referring to the M60? I am not sure everyone would agree that the cost is moderate at $200 for the Caddocks. Intuitively, one would expect the grid-stop resistor to have an effect on sonics, as you say, but in actuality, I find that one can "get away" with less expensive (but still good-sounding) products, like HOLCOs, with great results. This is not to say that I wouldn't hear a slight improvement with Caddocks, Vishays, etc. I just have not tried it. Perhaps someone who has tried both cheap and boutique grid-stoppers in the same piece of gear could comment.
